Cincinnati, Ohio

Building bridges overa cup of tea

We bring neighbors of different faiths and cultures together in church halls, synagogue kitchens, and community spaces across Cincinnati. We have shared 13 gatherings since 2025, and there is always room for someone new.

Come as you are. No invitation or special knowledge needed.

Why we exist

Stronger communities begin with a genuine welcome.

CHAI makes it easy for people of different faiths and cultures to meet, learn from one another, and build trust over time. We look for shared ground while honoring the beliefs, traditions, and stories that make each community distinct.

Bringing neighbors together

Belonging across differences

We create welcoming spaces where neighbors can meet as people, listen with curiosity, and find shared ground. Every faith and culture is honored on its own terms, with room for each person to be fully themselves.

Helping young people grow

Confident young leaders

We help young people build practical life skills, leadership, and confidence. Through cultural, educational, service, and civic programs, they can grow strong in who they are and learn to connect across differences.

What we do

Simple ways to connect and grow

  • Shared tables

Iftars, Thanksgiving dinners, and Abrahamic gatherings offer an easy way to meet. The invitation is open, the welcome is warm, and conversation grows naturally around the table.

  • Interfaith dialogue

Visits and conversations inside churches, synagogues, and other community spaces help neighbors learn directly from one another with care, curiosity, and mutual respect.

  • Cooking together

Cooking side by side makes connection feel natural. People share recipes, stories, and laughter while each tradition and family history keeps its own meaning.

  • Youth and service

Youth programs build life skills, leadership, and confidence. Community service gives young people and adults a meaningful way to put shared values into action together.

Our community

From Ramadan iftars and cooking classes to holiday meals and coffee mornings, every gathering offers a comfortable way to learn, share, and feel part of the community. Explore 13 gatherings so far.
